My new micro blog!

I found a nice platform to blog little steps of your life. It's www.tumblr.com. Check my page at http://thesilkystar.tumblr.com.

What I like about it is the way it allows you to post small portion of thought each time. I found myself post several pieces a day because it takes me only minutes for each one. And it also allows many type of post e.g. text, quote, audio, video and chat with nicely presentation. (see the screenshot)

I would post more content on that site because it's quick and easy. However, I will keep this site running and will be back to update it when I have a long thought to write about.

What a Perfect Smile!

In a difficult time like we are all having in Thailand, just a little light of hope can make our days. I think I should mark the night of Dec 1st as one of the most special night of this year. It's amazing moment when you look up to the sky and found that Moon and stars are not only watching over you, but they are having such a nice smile to cool your day.

It's a great that that Moon and stars aligned nicely together. I don't know if this incident can be seen in other country. But it came in the time that Thai people really need such a nice touch like this to soothe our tiring souls.

I believe no one couldn't resist to smile back at them. It's the moment that we can forget all the loads that we have on our shoulders.

I'm in love with Picasa!!

I have a long list of web sites that I would like to check them out on hand for a long while. Finally I did find time to go through those sites during last week. It's really a big fun to me. It's hard to believe that the web technology goes this far. I've just aware that I'm using a lot of Google web service right now and all of them are connected. With one google account, I did subscribe for 7-8 services already!!! The beauty of it is.. they are smart enough to emerge my online and offline for me. The tool that I love the best now is Picasa.. The photo management tool..



First, I have to tell you that i used Window Live Photo Gallery before.. It's almost good except the part that it always crashed my system when i run it for a while. I used iPhoto on Mac which I love it. However, it can't compare to Picasa, especially when i use it with Picasa web gallery.. It contains iPhotos functionalities while i have to admit that its online function is far better than what iPhoto offers. I can manage my photo gallery and upload my favorite photos to my web gallery without the need to leave the application screen.















Another cool feature is the integration between your web gallery and your blog! If you have an account with blogger.com, you web album will automatically include all photo on your blog into the gallery. You can download them to your offline Photo Album at one click!!

Fair, fun and full!!!

Do you know what I like to do the best especially on Sunday recently??? I LOVE going to local market or local fair where there're a lot of foods and local products available. I always believe that though I live in Bangkok but there's always interesting choice for shopping rather than going to those large shopping malls, where products on the shelves are all the same. This week, I went to a fair which is held by C.P., the largest food manufacturer company in thailand. The fair is held in the military base camp near my home.








The first impression shows that this fair is the real deal!! The sign said "Buy one, Get one!)





I walked around with my mum and found that it's a big bargain fair. Most of products are offered under "buy one, get one" campaign as the claim.

There are a lot of people at the fair but it's not too crowded at all.

Lots of toilet are there to served as well!! :-D

Though there're only mum and me at home, but I ended up bought a lot of foods back!! It didn't cost a lot of money at all. Now the big job is how to squeez those things into my refridgerator...

Before I go, I'm going to end today's post with some cute photos of my little cat!! MeawMashi. Seems like it's fun for her to help me unpack all stuff that I bought. She was with me all the time I did it. She loves being in the kitchen, especially when my mum is around.. look at the photo and you may know why!!!

Fruit for thought: Spend too much time in the kitchen would harm your health (and shape!!!)

My MooWan is sick!!

I took my MooWan to vet today. She had a small surgery on her ears. It took only couple hours of operations including time for her to recover from unconscious too.

I took this picture at the time that she was still at the hospital. Look at her... my poor little girl!!

I have many things to write here.. but.. it must be tomorrow because it's almost midnight already.

Back to my blog (again!)

After I'm off for a long while, now I'm back again. For some reasons, I was bored with being online, being lazy... etc... What I did during the time that I off were working on many craft projects at the same time, take Mum to local markets on weekends, sleeping, watching television etc.

I have intention to get myself back to be active again. The consequence of being lazy for a long while is you are getting slow. I didn't read or write much during the past few months.. that made me feel so stupid now. Even now, I have no idea how to make this post interesting. (nice excuse, huh?)

I will get myself together and will get back with more interesting post. I may post my craft projects. Or write about my retirement plan that I've started recently. (not too early!!)

Finally, I will force myself to write daily..... hopefully.... :-)

I'm back from trip!

I took a trip to Australia recently. Thousands of photos were taken and I do have story to tell. The only problem is I'm so lazy to do anything. :-)



I had chances to travel to country-side of Australia and it's confirm about lifestyle that I really want to have. I really don't like city life as I do now. I'm thinking about the plan to get myself ready for the life style that I want. It would take years to get ready but I will keep my dream alive and try my best to move little by little to get closer to that dream.

On the next post, I will share about my trip day by day. See you then.

I do quite a good job on making time doing what I like over what I have to do lately!! Not so sure if it's a good thing.. (May be it's my nice version of the word "Lazy"! Ha ha, you know I'm good at using nice words to make myself feel better...) 

The number one activity of my choice currently is craft works.. specifically it's crochet!! I've just broken the record by fini

shing 3 projects within less than a month!! Easy project, though..

Now, let's see what I've done.. 

You know that I'm going to visit my sister.. so I think I should have something so special for her.. It's getting cold in Australia, so I think a hat to cover her head and her ears is the best option.. This is the finished product!!

First playing safe, started with a conservative version!

Once it's done, I think it's too plain to be a special gift and I have days left so I think I should come up with something else more fancy!! (Though my sister is an anti-fancy stuff!!) The concept is, my sister's favorite color is red.. plain red is boring... So I add some colors and also that big flower!!! I'm so happy with the result.. anyway, everybody who knows my sister said, she will never wear this trendy hat for sure.. It's possible if it's without the flower.. but I insist to see her wear this hat as it is.. Let's see..

Time to add some fun and being girlie!

After I finished this one, I think it would be nice to add a scarf!! I'm working on it right now, same color.. I will post update photo when it's done.

Actually, before the hat project, I finish a small table top crochet too.. I took a quick photo to show you here.. too lazy to do the full setting.. :-D

It's been a while.. I'm back again!

I don't make time to write at all during these few weeks. Sorry, phim. I'm just being lazy. Actually, i have many things to share. For example, i did finish a few craft projects, researched a new craft technique, prepare for my trip. That's what i want to write some story about them here. Hold on, be patient. I will come back with those stories soon.

Though, I didn't go out at all during the long weekend, but I did have a nice new place in Bangkok to show you, Pim. I know you will surely love it. There're nice Japanese style dessert kiosks at Isetan department store!! I did find them accidentally. It's so cool, let's go together there when you are here na..

Almost songkran day so i'm getting lazy now.. Can't concentrate on work anymore, only thinking of what to do during the long weekend.

I plan to do many things during this long weekend, also plan to do some works in a relaxed environment. I have to finalize the plan in advance before the weekend comes, otherwise i will do nothing.

My iMAC is still at the service center. The technician called to inform that i have to pay 12,000 bht for repair cost. I really want to cry.. Poor me! :-(

Simple life: the lesson

Forgot to make a note that what i leart today is ; in our life, we don't really want too many things to keep us happy. The feeling when you throw your stuff away (or get them packed n ready to give away) is just great. It's like you are taking out all the load off yourself. We are all carrying unneccesary loads in the era of information. Then we start attaching ourselves to those things.. Free yourself and lighten your mind.. Feel the freedom and enjoy next things on your life road.. A lot more to come..

Get organized from outside in!

Getting my room organized is not a big task at all. I just do a bit of touch up to make things in better place. For example, throw cosmetics that i won't use anymore away, put books that i planned to read together, put picture of my dream house on the board.. Oh it includes putting my favorite little toy for all time next to my bed so i can look at them before i fall asleep everynight.

It's good to get thing around me organized. I think today's world is too busy enough. Getting things organized in the way you use them are a good approach to simplify your life too. Once you have all little things easy for yourself in every steps of your daily life then your can easily get all the clutters out of your heart in the same way..

Enjoy clutter-free life and then start living in peace throughly.. Life is just an art of simplicity.. Give yourself a simple life, friend...

I'm paralized! Too full after the dinner. The first day of the long weekend is about to end in few hours. I have not get anything done! Lazy me!

i feel like i want to have a seafood meal for a while but i don't have a chance. It's so great! I'm so full now. Sleepy, sleepy.. Zzz

Miracle of writing

I'm watching the Opra wimprey show on Hallmark channel. It's a story of a couple who have been married for 20+ years. What made they are together this long because they always write love letters to each other even when they are in trouble. The lady said they always love each other, just sometime that they don't like each other. No couple life is perfect so it doesn't worth to leave 23 years of marriage for nothing. That's what she said. The love letters that they write to each other have 3 parts; the feeling they have today, what the couple did good to u, and the last part, 'i love you because..' part. They show all the letters that the wrote to each other. It's really a lot. They held hands throughout the show. It's so beautiful.

Another break is about, how long can you love and wait for each other? The show was about a couple who r eventually together after the guy falls in love with the photo of the girl 30 years ago. They didn't have a chance to get to know or actually meet each other once. But the girl is always on his mind. After both of them having thier own lives, got married, have kids, have grandchildren, divorce, live alone. Then one day the guy started looking for the girl of his dream again, just because he couldn't forget about her. Finally he got her number, started convincing her that they are soulmate! After talking on the phone for a long while, the journey to seek for the love of lives begin.. They are married now..

2.37am. Back to my bed after felt asleep at the couch for couple hours. Bed time (but still leave the tv on).. Good night... I might dream about beach.. Sea.. Sand.. Zzz...

i'm home now. What's the best thing to do after a long day at work? For me, just stay quietly in front of TV, cuddle with my love! My mumu! It's a warm moment for my heart. Everybody can have his/her own special moment. Just find yours, and find time to warm your heart. It's what worth living for..

Happy long weekend!

April is holiday season! There're a lot of special holiday, starting from this weekend. I'm going to have 3 day weekend; Sat, Sun and Monday! I have not had any plan yet. Umm, have to plan it wisely tonight because i have so many things i would like to do but can't manage time to do them. What about painting? Sewing? Cooking? Reading? Crochet? Computer graphic? Or may be the best thing to do is rearrange my room? Seems like i have too many things to do in 3 days already!

Oh, may be i should do a little experimental project like keeping log on what i spend time on during this weekend. So pim, u can tell me if i spend time wisely as i intended.. Ha ha, seems like i know the answer now!

Walk away...

People come n go throughout your life. It's what i'm supposed to get used to this fact. But in reality, when u look back into your live, you would find that there're some people who it's hard to accept the fact that they are no longer in your life... And will never be, no matter what. I don't know how many people will really be there for me until the last day of my life.. It's really hard to guess.

Are human really suppossed to be with someone until the very last day? Or if there's a special kind of human that always push people who are close to them away, while deep inside, that kind of people also long for having someone around... It's really hard to understand yourself sometime..

Or, may be, it's just a deepest fear, running subconsciesely inside my mind.. The fear that causes by the belief that eventually people will walk away after they find out that i'm not worth the patience to stay around. So the sense of self protection tells me to walk away before it's too late..

If that's not the fact then i wonder, how come a person like me always in the wrong place, wrong time.. If there any chance that i will finally meet right one at the right time.. Someone who will never walk away..
